In 2004, a sneaker customizer from Cherry Bomb Customs in Canada contacted me through Niketalk in wanting to do a custom for me. In return, he just wanted me to spread the word about his work. I didn't have to pay for the shoe or his labor. I agreed and within a week he had delivered as promised and I made every effort to make his work publicly known.
Unfortunately, after a month I lost contact with him. He seemed to have just disappeared, which was weird because I would receive an email from him almost every other day detailing his work. The Cherry Bomb website no longer existed and his email was deleted. It's a shame because I'm sure there were lots of people who would have demanded his work. If anyone has any info on what happened to Cherry Bomb Customs, please contact me.
